Hi Guys....

PLEASE PLEASE, help me out here...

I'm from South Africa, will be doing a S50 transplant into my E30, and I really need your help, as I know there are manyof you that have done this before.

As far as I know there is no difference as to fitting a 3.0l or 3.2, they difference been the wiring!! , and from research and from other tuners that have performed this here in South Africa, fitting the 3.2l is a major problem with regards to the wiring..now there are a few questions I have and I hope, you guys can help me..

1. Would you advise fitting the 3.0l instead of the 3.2l? or would you say the power difference is huge, and fitting the 3.2l is a better option, even though the wiring can be difficult?

2. I've read that the 3.2l double vanos , is sometimes troublesome? your thoughts?

Guys, help on the above questiosn will be much apperciated, I know some of you have spend loads of cash etc, and found out the hard way, but please help me out if you can...

There are more questions I have on the actuall transplant, but I need to make up my mind as to which motor i want.

There there anything else I should consider when I make my final choice?

Thanks
Rowen

I dont think there is a huge difference between wiring up the 3.0 or 3.2. The big one is the EWS system on the 3.2, but even some 3.0s have this - any E36 after Jan 95 will do.
After fitting my 3.0 with EWS, I wouldnt be put off from fitting a 3.2.

As for the conversion itself, have a search through this section as all the info needed is in here - also look at the M50 threads :thumb:
