m42 is the 318is engine 1.8 16v 140 odd bhp
m20 b20 is the 6 cylinder 129 bhp 2 ltr as in 320
m20 b25 is the 6 cylinder 171 bhp 2.5 ltr as in 325
m30 is more ambitious "big six"in 3ltr,3.5 ltr but is more involved than the native e30 engine swaps.
plenty of cheap 325s complete around...best bet,youve got all the bits for couple of hundred
