Well here's what im thinking of buying, will obviously get an amp to compliment it.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 38930&rd=1

or this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 17377&rd=1

What to you i.c.e people think?

Is it a gd deal for the last link?

Also my car doesnt have a ski hatch :(

EDIT: Ok i think ive found what i want, apperently the GT4 is an excellent sub for the money. So i think my best bet would be to get this,

Also, with the E30 boot being quite sound proof, do i go for a 10" or 12 " Sub?

Cheers Adam

Adam does your car have a rear arm rest? if not remove the upright rear bench and u will see in the middle a lightly tacked on panel in the hole for the ski hatch option. Bash the fucker out. I did this and now with my 15inch sub kicks into the car nicely, with the arm rest down of course! Those rear seats have some proper sound proofing in them so i would find a rear bench with an arm rest.

HTH u can mount the amps either side of the ski hatch hole thats how mine is done

there is another alternative

i did it years ago and wow
cut four 8inch holes in back shelf
then cut a qtr inch mdf shelf to go under the original shelf now a 2 8inch subs and 2 quality 3 ways and woooow loads of bass mine were all pioneer and caused instant dancing fits wherever i went mmmm memories mite just take my own advice and do it again Daz

Ski hatch plate has to be removed if it hasn't already,

The bass box issue is,, they one on ebay doesn't give any indications if its tuned to any frequency.

Generally a ported box, lower smoother bass (if properly tuned)

a sealed box, louder punchy bass ( imo can become annoying)
