Can you get replacement 'filter socks' for fuel pumps?

I received a 2nd hand pump from another member, which works perfectly, but I stupidly broke the filter sock that sits on the bottom of it  :-x :x

It's from a 318 rather than a 320, so the sock I already have isn't compatible. I've tried BMW, the local Motor Factors, and the online ETK linked to above. They supply them, but the pump they come with makes it a tad expensive!

Any suggestions, or am I going to need help from here again? I was hoping to finally get the sod going this weekend, too...

Try these guys:

http://www.fuelsystem.co.uk/

Click on the fuel filter section, and scroll down to the bottom of the .PDF that opens.

Interesting link, Ian! I was under the impression that these weren't available as a seperate item from the pump.
Any idea which one is best fit?

Hi Brian,

I'm afraid not. You would need to take a few measurements, but I'm sure one of them must be close enough.

Maybe Tomm can take a few measurements and advise :D

Well, I've dragged myself out and found a pump!
Spigot on the pump is about 11mm OD, although the original filter fixes in the rubber pump mount with an ID of 15.7mm.
Filter is 106mm X 49.5mm, so it looks like the very first one may be best fit.

Thanks for the link! :)

The pump I've got sitting here is (I believe) from a 318i. The pump spigot is 19mm, so it looks I've got quite a choice. The filter is ~105mm x 50mm.

I like the look of G on the second page best :)
