On the main forum menu, go down to Forum FAQ's and there's a guide in there.

Use a photo hoster like www.photobucket.com

Where was this event?

Was it good, and who won and in what car?!

:D

EDIT: As skip said!

At the smaller events, you can have a go.

At the proper ones, you need a licence now.

Yeah, basically!

You can do the test at Silverstone......but apparently it's a load of crap. But this is third party info!

You have to do some donuts and basic circle drifting, nothing like as hard as it is on the track!

:?

I still want it!

Still would be better than doing it on the road... Every 1 is gettin caught lately, my mates getttin done 4 dangerous driving, 4 fish tailin it down the road, think he was slightly out of control though (c class 1.8 merc) and ive got that thing hangin over me!

Needs 2 be on a proper track though, not on an airfield with a circuit marked out with cones!

I think they do the tests in the car park, with cones set out.

This is pretty much all you need, even the surface in the car park (at least where they do this) is decent!

But yeah, it is dodgy on the road, I've been reported and have had a warning....

Not a good idea on the road, but it's expensive to do it properly :?

I'll be doing some once I have the 3.5 in though! :D

i was at round 2 yesterday as well, bon bon in the e28 was robbed.

drift license is to stop any old numpty turning up, apparently license is easy enough its just to assure there is is a basic standard for people competing so those who pay dont spend hours waiting for people to be dragged from gravel traps,

yesterday it was at northampton raceway, anyone could have had a go but remeber it is armco lined and one car smashed into it very nicely.

i saw all the stig crew in orange, but never introuduced myself cos i dont know who im talking to at times, haha

davetouring you dont need 3.5power to go drifting just get out there and do it,

yeh its risky on the roads, probably best to get to a practice day but i know a lot of people involved in drifting whove primarily learnt on the roads. but your right definately risky.

im holding back going to a practice day until ive sorted my handbrake out i think since it doesnt really do anything and thats one thing i really want to learn on practice day.
