Hi Guys,
I have fitted a shelf with a rear blind, but I cannot find the locating slots for the clips under the headlining - anyone got any pics ? I am being a muppet I know but I cannot find them..
I have tried offering up the blind to the top of the rear window - but still no joy...

kepp going and have a good feel! took me a while of fumbling around to find them. I marked the headlining with a pencil both sides and offered the blind up again to check it looked ok!

Pull up the blind and look where the two retaining lugs are, and start feeling around there, there should only be a few inches of material to search. And have that knife ready!

Start feeling around on the headlining Mark, you should feel where ur meant to stick the knife in, the rest of the rear should be solid metal.
Have a look at my pic too anyway

If you're still nervous about cutting the headlining, PM E30Mark, he had a picture of his with measurements, only cut a small nick too, no need to actually cut a piece of material out of the headlining.

Cheers guys - all in and sorted... the piccy told a 1000 words, nowhere near where I was originally fumbling about - thought they would be close to the window - anyways all sorted now...
You would have thought I would have been very brave after chopping holes in my rear bench for the rear headrests...
That went ok too though

Feels quite homely in the back of the old girl now

I picked up the fitting kit Friday and the headrests turned up yesterday dude... all in and looking ok..not 100% perfect but pretty good...
A useful tip for where to cut the leather is to get the frame and runners in place on the rear bench then poke a long screwdriver up from below and where it pokes the leather up is where you need to cut it... didn't feel good about doing it though I can tell you !!!!
You had any luck with your ones yet ???
Will post pics up later this week.

You can't imagine how much it hurt being 20 mins up the road and not being able to get down to lakeside.... anyway i met my new nephew (8 days old) for the first time & the rest of the family, so i guess missing out on a e30 meet wasn't so bad.......................................................
See ya!
Ps Splondike, Got a quote off my local alloy refurb place, they wanted Ԛ£80+vat per rim just to paint the BBs... have sent email to lepsons to ask for there latest prices...
