I'm about to put an order in to the stealers for a few bits and bobs, and I'm tempted to sort out my bushes all round, as looking at the service history I'm not sure ever been done!
Basically, the car is my drift/track car, its lowered 60mm front and rear, with adjustable Avo shocks on their stiffest setting at the rear and M-tech shocks up front. It is also running 15x7 inch wheels all round (unless I run out of rubber, in which case the bottletops go on!).
What I would like to do is decrease the amount of camber at the rear (caused by the lowering of the car, it absolutely chews the inside of the tyres) and also add a little negative camber up front. I understand fitting M3 eccentric control arm bushes at the rear can help this, and there are also offset top mounts available that may help too (http://www.c3bmw.co.uk/StockItem.asp?ca ... m=unassign)?
However, I'm not sure how to do the front without resorting to camber plates and other such things that I can't afford! So are there any bushes or top mounts available from BMW that might help me increase the camber up front? My mate used to have an E36 drift car that iirc had M3 essentric top mounts up front, but the with left one on the right and vice versa - it had a scandalous amount of camber, is there any such bodge that could be applied here? That thing gripped pretty hard up at the front!
So, any suggestions about the front? And have I got it right about the rear as well?
Many thanks in advance...

Hi
The offset top mounts are for top, there are all so off set lower mounts for the front.
It is the rear which is tricky, offs et bushes like k-mac which give a little adjustment or slot the rear sub frame

what do you mean by "slot the rear beam"? how does this work as I'm having the same problem.
Have a read through this, it explains "slot the rear beam"

Ah I see,
just a quick job then
Erk, very clever stuff but thats well beyond me. Think I'll stick eccentric bushes on the back (and maybe the adjusted top mounts) and ignore the front for now, possibly save up for a camber plate...
Cheers

I've seen them before and just can't work out how they work on the E30's rear suspensionfunky-monkey wrote:I have found these, a little pricey though:

I am looking to do the same for my track car project....
I am considering these for the front:
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/de ... _ID=RE1619
and these for the rear (offset):
http://www.c3bmw.co.uk/StockItem.asp?ca ... m=unassign
Comments please, as I feel this is the most cost effective way of INCREASING the negative camber on the front and DECREASING unwanted negative camber on the rear.
