well brought the bmw sunday jsut been however still on ym ban so driving it isnt a probelm.. wellt he radiator was blocked.. soo.. as u do got another rad.. well fitted the rad hopeing hte problem would be fixed.. NAW was it hell.. the thermostat was stuck open cusing the engine to run cold all the time.. noww u say thats good as its not running hot well the lean mixure can cause broe wash etc .. didnt want that. so repalced the thermostat today nice new shiny one.. all sealed up etc put it.. well... took it for a test drive around my estate( yes i know bloody naughty.. but its a small esate with a nice tighty righty at the end ...

well yeah anyway.. the temp got to tempreture.. then decided to go a little further i thgouht it would be it jstu settling in etc.. NOOO was it f***!! popped the bonnet to check coolant levels only to find a fine vapour mist flying out of the top hose housing casuing it to lose pressure and overheat.. and to top it off. the bolt head is snapped!! so i need to get it out someway without damging the thread anyone got any ideasss...? i dnt like breaking things..

Stud extractor? You'll get a set from Machine Mart.

I'd suggest parking it up till you've got your licence back too.

I had a problem with my 318iS with "water mist" in the engine bay when the water pump failed - acted like a vapour spray. A visit to europarts and a new water pump sorted it out though.

That was good KARMA the engine blowing up while you were driving while banned ! Learn from it. Guys like this are seen all the time on police camera action etc etc. No insurance, so if a kid jumps out on you what happens

anyway got the bolt out now. finally. tis not the water pupe its where the top hose fits onto the housing at the top of the engine by the inlet manifold.. the top bolt had snapped. being unabl;e to cause a seal

Judging you based on the above. You left me with the impression that it was your "estate" as in housing estate. But what would happen if you clocked someone in the "estate" ? You are still not insured !

ps...You are right, I dont know you.

what the f*ck is an s38? I'm getting a 325 engine. Thats all I want, and thats all I'm getting for now. In a year or two I'll get a 750 engine... stop confusing me with obscure engine codes dammit.

S38 is E34 M5 engine in either 3.6 or 3.8 and you can tell that because it will have B36 or B38 after S38 I.e S38B38 :D

Thanks maxwell.

In that case... no, I'm not going to drop an engine worth thousands of pounds into my crappy £250 e30 tourer. That would be silly. If i wanted an m5 engine, i would buy an m5.
