Hi mate,
The 325i Sport is a nice motor.
The engines will go for ages if they are regularly maintained and not thrashed all the time!
Watch out for cylinder head problems on 325's though. He's an example of how you can tell. This was on my now dead 325 a while back.
http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... pic&t=5501
Also the 325i Sport comes with a limited slip diff, listen for funny whining noises or other odd noises coming from the rear.
Watch out for rust! Underneath the kit is a killer.
Look around the sills/jacking points/arches the scuttle panel under the windscreen in the engine bay.
Overall they are good cars, just have a good look round the car, and try to see a few before buying.

An auto won't be anywhere near as fun as a manual - a car like a Sport with an auto gearbox sounds a bit of a waste to me.
Of course it's down to personal preference, just like the colour
Cinnabar red's the best colour IMO, though I might be slightly biased

oh where do u start?! Colour's your preference really. Rust under the kit is the major head ache with these cars, most are ok and treatable though. Cracked cyclinder heads does it over heat? lots of banging and crashing and vague steering mean shagged bushes.
They should go like the clappers so any slow pokes mean tired, knackered engines.
2 choices M-tech ones made from D to E reg. Getting rare, faster than tech 2 but most are rusted sh!tters
M-tech 2 F to H reg, more common, more colours to choose, proper posers car!
I would avoid cars lowered 60mm on G-max springs with euro car parts alloys owned by Dean on the local council estate, saying excellent condition bargain Ԛ£1200 needs nothing!

Do you mean Zinnobar red, like my touring? Isn't yours Brilliant Red?
Not being rude, just wondering, yours is quite a late one, and they're normally Brilliant Red....
Anyway, back on topic:
I agree with Zayyan, the auto is ok, but manual is more fun and you are more involved with the driving. I much prefer manual, but it's obviously personal preference.

"The color was replaced by Zinnoberrot (German for Cinnabar Red)"

Anyway, red's the best colour for an E30, check out Mark's (Spondlike) or Ciara's (willow) 325i's in the Photo Gallery and you'll see what I mean

Zinnobar is darker red! It doesn't really go pink the Brilliant Red can if neglected.
My touring is Zinnobar red. I agree red rules!
Silver looks like bare metal Simon, you should get it sprayed a colour at least.
Besides, what is Cinnobar in English?!

Ahhh.
I was interested! That's why I asked!
Interesting.
Zayyan, what does it say on the sticker on your suspension turret? Should say Zinnobar Red/Brilliant Red.

I hate white to be honest, so no arguments there, I'd take another red car anytime, as for the silvers and grey I'll leave them for the council types.Chaos wrote:better than white (how boring) which is a lack of colour as opposed to a colour itselfSimon wrote:Miserable, boring colours!

I agree with Red Ferraris, but old E30's, I don't think so!
