My indicators don't all flash when I press the button on the remote to lock the car and activate the alarm.
Is there an easy fix for this?

Do you mean they used to flash, and now don't, or they never have and you would like them to?

I turned on the remote c/l and alarm again after a few years and the indicators used to flash, but now they don't

Probably a problem with the relay inside the alarm module that does the flashing.
Other possibility, if your alarm is a sophisticated one, is that you have an options menu somewhere to set up various features, and this function has been turned off by corruption of the alarm memory.

It's not really a sophisticated one as it's been on the car since new! 
A relay problem sounds more likely, I'll have a look tomorrow with an electronically-minded friend of mine

The wires to look for in the car loom, where the alarm is connected in, are blue/red and blue/black. These will probably be connected to two wires of the same colour from the alarm.
If the alarm is factory fitted, then the connections will be at the plug and socket behind the glove box where the loom from the switch panel etc. plugs in.
