Abingdon is prob your closest, raced there on a bike a few years ago but never been round it on a car. Keevil is also relatively close, the other side of the M4 near Melksham. www.motorsport-events.co.uk

Tim, I have done a couple of motorsport events days, they are well organised and occur with a strict emphasis on gentlemanly conduct. If you are a Tw*t they will tell you to piss off, which is good in my eyes.
I have not yet been to abingdon, but i believe its there most popular event. I have done Hulavington and Keevil and enjoyed them both equally(m4 jnct 17). A great place to learn car control and what happens when you run out of talent in relative safety. £150 well spent by the time you have budgeted for fuel.

I was thinking of Abingdon to give the new car a run around to see what its going to be like. No sign of the race springs yet tho
so its going to be Keevil 5th March.

Sorry Jon, just clocked your message. It's now looking doubtful for 5th as well
. Work was quiet for a couple of weeks so I was getting a bit of car build time in (I'm a self employed trainer), but is now picked up again for the next couple of weeks. The car is a 318 built to PBMW spec. It's pretty much there now, just needs a couple of days fettling to finish off. I want somewhere local ish to give it a bit of a hoon before the season starts as I haven't driven a 318 before so want to get the hang of it a bit, also its just the original engine with an oil change, so I want to see if it will hang together Ok on track or if I need to be engine building as well before the season starts!
Cheers

The 5th of March is coming up rather quick on us too, so i'm unsure whether we will be there. The 16th is Hullavington so that is a possibility then its the 2nd of april back at Keevil. I'll keep you informed what event we are attending and you can do the same if you want.
There is a guy on the zone who seldom posts that I have met a few times at Keevil and Hul with a caged 325i. This should give you the perfect benchmark to see how well set up yours is
