Hahaha. 1601.

You need to leave Le Mans at 0800 to get that I reckon. I left at 11 to get the 1800 last year and made it with just minutes to spare. Many of our crew didn't make it! Didn't help that they had plotted the sat-nav wring and gone 200 miles in the wrong direction before they realised! I'm on the 1800 again this year.

I saw on Pistonheads that you were talking about Speed Chills. I had a little search and found this
http://www.speedchills.com/

Can you shed some light on what it is and how it works from first hand experience. I had a read and it looks like for £35 you can buy food and drink (draft beer, wine & tea, coffee etc) and provides somewhere covered to eat and drink.

Is it worth it.

Cheers

Honestly, I don't know. I've not been. But you pay £35 for access, then you'll be paying for food and drink as well. Not that that's a problem for many of course. I will probably go have a look for no other reason as to pinch ideas for 2008! winkeye They are near to camp but tbh, you can nip down to the village of Arnage and get better food which is probably cheaper with no entry fee from anyone of the numerous bars on the high street

SpeedChills rents a Gite in the middle of the campsite. My contact at Le Mans is seriously pissed at the owner of said Gite as he is making money from the whole Le Mans thing but pays no 'royalties' to the ACO. They are going to try and stop him this year. That would be a shame for SC as I understand they run a good ship there. We'll have better in 2008 though!

Guy
Ha ha, was just writing your address out to send my form/cheque and then realised i'll be driving past the end of your road on thursday night anyway!!!! I'll drop the form through the door with the cash if that's ok!!!!!
Saves me spending hours looking for my chequebook and then relying on royal mail (I have issues with them!)!!!!!

Quick update y'all.

Firstly, many thanks to all of you that have got your cheques in in such a timely fashion. Much appreciated as it means far less worry for me.

There is even a waiting list beginning to form so to those that have not got their forms and cheques in yet, the deadline to secure your place is 5th March.

Cheers

Indeed, I was mearly worried as i'm a speed limit loser. Well plus 10% except 30 zones.

My licence needs to stay clean...forever.

Leave the speeding for track days :D

Come and say hello then Powelly. We'll be spottable in the back of the Beausejour campsite. I will post up the new group logos when they are done and then will be getting some flags made. FYI, we'll be in Beausejour at the extreme west side of the site closest to the trees and the circuit itself
