Who is your 325 tourer insured with?
Moderator: martauto
I've just broght a 325i Tourer and it seems to be bloody expensive to insure.
How much are you guys paying? I'm getting quotes of over £200 third party, i want it to be as near to £100 as possible.
I'm 30 with a clean record, a hisory of performance cars.
I'm going by the fact i pay £80 on my classic Karmann Ghia and my mk1 polo. I was also paying £347 on my modded vx220 turbo.
Any ideas?

I've just got mine on a classic for a smidge under £400 fully comp through Adrian Flux.
I have a 'ahem'..... chequered driving history so that amount was fine with me.

£200 doesn't sound that bad to me for a Gp 16 car!
Comp or TP's not going to make much difference to the premium - they're not going to pay out a lot on an E30 whatever happens to it. It's the damage you do WITH the car, not TO the car that they're worried about.
IIRC, when getting quotes a couple of years ago, with one company a TP quote came back slightly higher than the comp one.

325i touring insured with Direct Line for £295 fully comp (a little more with a few extras) 6 years protected no claims and i'm 30. Pretty pleased with that

Right the tourer i was about to buy turned out to have a cracked head when i went to pick it up tonight, gutted, so back on the hunt.
I have managed to get the insurance down to £130 tp and £165 fc which is much better
, thats with Adrain Flux of all people.

I hate you all.
£550 tpft, on a 316! 28, clean licence, no claims/convictions but 0 ncb. (never had my own insurance)
I'm scared to call them up and tell them I've dropped it, put alloys on and put in a 2.5. Got til the weekend to do it as its off road atm.
