m-dtech - any more news on your source for the OMP?
BMW scorpion has had dealing with both cages, his post is a few up from mine , have a look at what he says about the OMP ones

it is in my a few others opinion, the SD is better finnish, better welds, door bars bolt on, cage fitting kit is better and come with box sections to mount the cage on to, most of the khumo and seloc racers use them for a some reason or another , also a lot of track day cars i've been in use them aswell

right, bit of a rant here,

some one here fron the zone has been fishing behind my back trying ot find out if i'm making any money on this, and how many buyers i need for this discount and prices. not sure why ??

so MAHMOOD, unless you are interested in a cage stay out of it please.

for the record AGAIN i am not making a penny on this i'm only getting a cheaper cage like youselves, this group buy has to go through me, as do any future others on cages, these are the word fo the supplier, if i hear any one else if interfearing in any way i will pull out of this. he doesnt mind answering question on the spec of the cages but hasnt got the patince to be playing games, together we have come to this arrangement for you guys, only for it to be potentially fucked up for the second time in a week

i dont want to wast my time and money on calls arranging this, for 1 or 2 to try and screw it up

also another bonus come with each cage , but i'm waiting on confirmation on this

Kos/Sal/whoever, I am looking at SD cages for a drivers pack for new drivers to the PBMW series.

As these have now been confirmed as suitable for racing, could you possibly get a diagram of the options

And maybe PM me details of who to speak to about holding your price outside the bulk buy for our race series

Could you check they meet our regs:

5.3.2 The following criteria must be met for rollcage design and installation, with the exception of 5.3.2 v which is optional.

i) The rollcage design, construction and installation must satisfy all of Q1.1, Q1.2 and Q1.3.
ii) The rollcage material must be of cold drawn seamless carbon steel only.
iii) Side intrusion Doorbars must be fitted and in accordance with Q1.2.5.b and optionally Q1.2.7.
iv) 6-point rollcages must include at least one reinforcement member as described in Q1.2.5.a.
v) Triangulation between the rollcage front legs and front strut towers is permitted.

TIA

Jimmy

Jimmy...you need to read your blue book better...no offence...or speak to a scruitineer

FIA cages are needed for international events...the Kuhmo is not an international event therefore homolgation and FIA papers are not required

The scruitineer for the Kuhmo has confirmed that the SafetyDevices cage is allowed for the Kumho and UK events...if however the Kumho does an international event then it would be covered under the UK championship rules and also be allowed.

Dont scare people please as Kos has checked this out with Automac who supply the cages and they have confirmed the situation with the championship organisers and scruitineer etc

Therefore FIA is not required if you plan to enter BTCC it may be different I dont know...but dont think that will happen...

Jimmy please dont take offence but your facts are not accurate...aware you are a custom cage fan but please dont make posts to damage someone elses

Good luck with your racing

Also not the BMW RWD challenge rally cars also run Safety Devices rollcages...cheers

Thanks for changing your post...and the pm to ask me to change mine...I have passed your request on to the correct people to answer properly...I understand you accept your error but I feel the post makes sense if anyone saw your previous post...thanks for having the decency to admit the error...maybe speak to you at some point Cheers

Dont worry if you found your way round the show with all the distractions...some mechanical...so clad in lycra etc...the safetydevices mini sample cage was on display but could easily be missed

SafetyDevices now operate through dealers for different makes and models and will not deal direct if they have an allocated dealer...hence the reason why Kos has negotiated this deal to his credit...so your best deal is to speak to him...cheers

right here we go then, safety devises cage specs

AVAILABLE FOR E30'S WITH OR WITHOUT A SUN ROOF

FULL CAGE WITH REMOVABLE DIAGONAL AND DOOR BARS RRP £650, plus vat, then your discount on top

also cages can be ordered as rear rection only, this is not usually possible, but supplier car agreed to do this, also if you do not require door bars, that is not a problem
