yum, tell me more about this conversion. What gearbox and running gear are you running. Was it a difficult conversion. Are you using the toyota ecu etc?
these engines are 260bhp as standard when strangled by 2 cats and 5 silencers in a soarer

My Msport. 2.6 BBR engine and blah, blah, blah, dyno'd at just over 200bhp, but the guy who tested it said it was loosing power due to restrictive air filter and throttle bodies. He reckons it should hit around 230 to 240 if those things are sorted.

Rieger! Could be twin turbo set up with 100bhp of noz chucking out around 550bhp as my photoshop post showed or another 2.7 pushing just over 200bhp again  . I'll leave it at that, but i do know that when Dips is finished, his convertible will be seeing the 650bhp+ mark with no Noz, plus if he goes ahead with his plans for the V12, he will be pushing 900bhp to 1000bhp, so might as well lock this thread and all go home!! winkeye

The OP isn't trying to show how fast he is!! Just think hes trying to get an idea of engine conversions done, how much power they produce and tuning potential of the E30.

This isn't a my dicks bigger then your dick competition, think the OP was genuinly looking for info. read the first post.

Using a supra gearbox (custom mounts), supra turbo clutch, bimmer drive shaft, bimmer 3.73lsd. Not quite finished yet, using a full aftermarket computer (link) extractors, tuned exhaust, flash intake, its a late model high compression 1997 1uzfe rated at 270hp standard, but its easliy going to push 320/330hp with a few mods. the early engines pre 96/5 only push around 230hp standard. The engine fits fine, actually alot lighter than an m20 :D and it sits back further so the car handles great.

Nope its a manual  w57 supra box. These engines are bloody strong from standard and run intergalatic miles (mines only 25,000ks tho hehe) and the best thing bout them is they love turbos! how does 500hp at 11lbs sound on a standard engine? with 1 turbo!

I really like the V8 idea.. I couldn't deal with the fuel economy myself; I'm going to struggle with the S50 B32's thirst!

My car: (when finished)

MCoupé S50B32 pushing an estimated (read: guessed) 300+bhp
E36M3 3.0/328i sport/MCoupé 5speed gearbox
MCoupé running gear (brakes, diff, trailing arms, prop and driveshafts)
E36 328i sport wheels
STD looks on outside (non body coloured mirrors etc!) apart from smoked lights, indicators, dechromed and satin black iS lip spoiler
Lachs Silver paint

325i Turbo (stage 3)

Hoslet H1C
Low comp 8.1 - 1
Msns-e
Wasted spark
Tial external Gate 38mm
440cc injectors
7 branch manifold

Was running about 12psi which was proven faster than a 300bhp scooby although no top end due to T3 sized blower. Off the lights it was rapido!!!!

New setup should allow (already been there) 20/25psi and that equates to well over 400 going on others results at the same pressure.

Managed to get WB working again so now it's just tuning to do!!! :woohoo:

yep the 1uz-fe likes a turbo!

7psi of boost sees you at 450bhp easily on the stock internals. The R154 manual box out of the MK3 UK Supra Turbo can also be bolted up with an adaptor plate.

There is a soarer in Banzai mag this month in Australia which is running 1000bhp on one of these engines, still using the standard crank and near standard cams and valve gear except uprated springs. 6 bolt main bearings come as standard, Toyota didn't mess about with the development of this engine and it shows, well over-engineered and apparently cost them $400'000'000 USD to develop

Im only putting out a miserable 100bhp r so from my 316i-lux, but planning on ugrading to an IS r sumthin soon :D

good good, thats what i want to see

its just that i keep seeing post like this, and people going on about their big power cars, but they never turned up to santa pod last year, and personaly i think half of them wont last more than a couple of runs, and the amount over inflated power estimates as well, never proven on a set of rollers is amusing !

i've said similar things in my post on the thred about "ten of the best"
