I have a noise coming from the drivers side front wheel!

started a few days ago. and has started to get louder!
at first i thought it would be pads!
but i can still hear the noise when doing bout 60mph!

I am thinking it could be a wheel bearing that shagged!

any help in resolving this would be real grateful!

any ideas????
many thanks

Put your foot on the top of the offending tyre and give it a good shove towards the car. If it moves in check the bolts are done up properly if they are then i'd say your first guess was right.

best test of whether it is a wheel bearing, particularly if it is on the passenger side is to see if the noise gets louder when taking right corners and quieter when taking left turns as the weight shifts. But if it is making a constant noise in a straight line the bearing is probably well on the way.

If you run bigger wheels, this makes the car more prone to shagging bearings
