previous trade encounters?!

hi ppl

i am in the process of trading in my e30 320i, i was just wondering what people have been quoted for a part ex?

at the moment ive had 2 x £500 and 1 x £700 (and the bloke said he would see if he could offer more)

obviously the the two £500 quotes were a price the garage would give to take to auction and the £700+ quote looks as though the garage will try and sell the car themselves!

so i was just wondering what quotes people have been getting at garages recently?

Have you not tryed selling it yourself and just buying whatever it is your planning?

Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm but the garage that are offering £700 for your 320 obviously have a big margin in the car they are trying to sell you or badly want it gone or both !. In the the trade a 320 is virtually worthless and unloved. If your car is tidy and decent spec try selling it privately and go back to the dealers with cash !
