Sideways with the rear wheel.. . . . Well if you are gona do it do it properly!

Anyway, it has bent the wheel (see other thread). But i think it may have bent the suspension. Not had much of a look as its dark and cold. How easily are bits bent there? Where's the weak link? What is likely to need replacing?

a mate did the same in his and it was a new sub frame.

I also did the same in my last e30, managed to remove half of the spokes from my 17" alpina's. I had to replace the rear wish bone and drum assembly.

how does one determine which bit is bent?

also where would I get trailing arms from?

If there's a weak point it's where the trailing arms mount to the rear beam. But the mounts are strong enough to bend the trailing arms before they do give!

2nd hand would be your best bet.

you must of hit the back end hard because they have been pretty tough in my experience! A trailing arm doesn't bend easily!

I bent bigtime a wishbone once, wish i had a picture of it, long before the zone was around!

I done the same but mine was the front, i had to get a new suspension leg and steering rack
