My fuel gauge does not work, just wondering wot peoples thoughts where, if i put £30 in it moves up to quarter but quickly goes down.

sender under the rear seat usually there are two on some cars one on others. they are under black inspection covers.

on older cars the connections between wires can become poor with rust or water ingress, not sure how beemers are affected.

poss the brass nuts behind the speedo clocks need tightening...

probably the sender though

NOT AT ALL. BMW don't do "older cars".
