head lamp adjustment

my adjusters were stuck solid but i managed to get them sorted out but i'm not sure wot the crack is with the head lamp adjusters that can be controled from inside the car

it all seems a bit too wobbley and when i was removing them one of the studs came out with the light unit and the other stayed in the housing that's screwed in the back

anyone any idea which is the correct way and how i can solve the problem

Don't know if this helps, but i've got a similar problem with mine. my nearside headlamps are very loose and it looks like part of the assembly has broken. It's the white plastic part that the studs go into from the neumatic adjusters.

I haven't tried to take anything out yet though.
