Hi guys,

im not sure the technical term but on the rear subframe mounts, there is a sort of top hat looking thing that sits on top of the bush, i guess transmits loads into the bush?

anyway i have been swapping subframes, going from crappy rubber bushed subframe with drum brakes to disc brakes axle with polybushes off my old car.

now on the polybushed subframe i could only find one of these tophats on the right side..i assumed i had lost one from the left during the year its been sitting around at mine, so i thought id just grab another off the subframe that i had just taken off.. couldnt see any on the subframe so looked under the car and found only one still attached to the car on the right side.

so basically is this just a wierd coincidence and i am just stupid and keep losing things, or do e30's for some bizarre reason only seem to have them on the right side?

well you were right there, one was stuck on the car, so tried to bash it off and it broke leaving half of it wedged in the hole..

but i still cant find any evidence of one on the left side of the car..which is just strange, it cant have just vanished into thin air.

any idea a part number for these things as i dont like bodging things.

You sure it's not part 12??

These can get lost in previous bush changes when ppl can't be asked to do the job properly.

I have a feeling that the top of the alloy core from the bush has broken off, stayed on the car together with the large washer (12 in the RealOEM pic, although the drawing suggests it mounts above the beam). These two bits (broken core and washer) are what I think is being referred to has a Top hat?
