tyre sizes

can anyone advise me of the best tyre size to suit a 16" x 7j ? i have 205/50/16s allround at the mo but am dropping 60mm soon and hope fullywould like wider tires at the rear would i get away with 215 or even 225 40s at the back and have 205 40s up front??? bearing in mind i dont relly want to mod the arches unless i HAVE to cheers peeps

205/50's is the proper size for it. i wouldn't go wider tyres on the back. i expect it will fine dropped 60mm as cars are on 15bbs's and the 16's with a 50 profile tyre are lik e 0.1% bigger.

why not 45's? personally i think that would be better but who am i. I would also go -40mm on the rear too. Unless your going 60mm for looks and cruising

not going for the cruising look m8 believe it or not i am a 39yr old bloke with 4 kids so car looks low enuff when they are all in there lol just want it to look a bit different will post some pics when done got some nice pics of a car my b/in law has just done but dont want to put pics on here as it is a ricer (supra 3.0 v6 twin turbo) looks the dogs danglies kawasaki mettalic lime green with a gold flip not my bag but still nice though if any one would like a look ill email them some pics bloke spent Ԛ£2600 on whells and tyres and Ԛ£5000 on body kit and paint OOUUCCHH and hes only a fookin postman l8rs si
