Inner track rod ends????

I use to garages to repair my car, one syas the inner track rod ends are shot and thats whats causing some limited play in the steering

the other says my car only has outer track rod ends?

Can some tell me who is lying to me?

Hi Tommo, The garage that says that you have inner track rod ends is telling the truth mate and they do wear, but they are usually refered to as inner ball joints, not a difficult job to do but will need tracking up after new joints fitted so you dont scrub your tyres off. cheers Dave

You want the tie bar this has the inner ball joint your after.

You will also need to renew the locking washer.
Pull the gaiter off the steering rack so you know what your after.

I just did my track-rod ends. But there was nothing wrong with the inner arms. But if you change the inner ones... change the track-rod ends as well. IMPORTANT: Don't buy original track-rod ends... they cost 100$ each. I bought them from a car-suply company in Scandinavia for 20$.
