Need some advice!!
A friend of mine has a set of Front/rear calipers disc and pads from a Mini Cooper S, they are 4 stud!
Could anyone answer these?
1. Stud pattern? will it be the same?
2. Will they fit?
3. the important one!! Will it stop the car?
its only a 316!
help would be grateful!
thanks

Hay man
ive been looking into doing a brake up grade on my E30, but from what ive lernt so far its not one of the easyest things to do. I was looking at running 300ZX (Z32) nissan fron disks and caliper. This would make the front stud patten 5 stud and a very common stud patten for aftermarket wheels. Plus the car will neally stop on the two front wheels. But rim size (i think not 100% sure) for these brakes will need to be atleast 16". another problem is the offset of the hub and most rims that fit the stud patten (this can be solved by ordering rims from a wheel company such as simmons let them know you need a sertan offset they make rims to suit). You need to run a hub set up thats slitely longer to over come the offset problem then theres no need for custom rims. Bigger calipers also require upgraded brake lines and master cylender proberbly not so much in the 6cyl modles but would not be a bad idear to change anyway. so far as you can see its a nightmere ill let ya know when im done. My E30 will have a much larger motor in it than BMW never intended. I feel like doin burnouts He He He
