ok so there are 2 possible sets of holes to put the rack in...

usually the rear set are used.,,

thing is in using m3 running gear and and e36 rack,.... so do i use the front holes as the e30 rack i have in tempoprarily seems to be siting a bit back in the car.....as the points for the steering arms on the struts may be different..

cheers

I havent got the M3 running gear but Ive got my E36 rack in the back holes.

Just a thought, but will the rack fit using the front holes? Ive just looked at mine and the holes seem slightly off centre.

I think the M3 and M3 Evo racks are a quicker ratio than the normal E36 rack.

I read in a book in Halfords, that the M3 rack is 3.2 turns and the non M3 is 3.6 turns, but I dont know how accurate that is.
