Can anyone tell me if you have to remove any of the sound deadning around the bulk head and gear box tunnel to fit the e36 m3 engine and box in, also do you have to remove any of the front pullies to get the engine and gear box in together, as it looks like it is going to be tight and i don't want to start scratching the paint. The car is is a lefthand drive but will i still have to change the headers to clear the bulk head. Thankyou

if its a 5 speed then no you don't have to remove any of the sound deadning if 6 speed you do and have to have custom prop. i would recommend to put engine in first then mount gearbox to safe the paint. may be better for info to have alook at the USA sites r3vlimited, bimmerforums.com have alook on treehouse racing have a word with jon he was a great help. i bought bottom control arm bushes that move the arms up so you don't have to cut the headers you can buy my ones if you want because mine righthander no good to be.
hope this has helped

Thanks mate its an s50 engine 5 speed box do you mean the eyeball arms from treehouse racing the green ones, if so can you pm me with a price and picture if poss. Why did you not fit them? I don't fancy splitting the engine and gear box looks hard work to put the box in after the engine. Cheers
