Had the above problem for about a day now. Accelerator pedal is really hard to depress. Im not technicly minded so could it be a the cable or something else. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'll check it out tonight mate and post the outcome thanks.johnono wrote:if you undo the bolt at the top of the pedal, see if it is the bottom link thats sticking, or if anything is stuck under it?
then we can see if its something else
Grease the throttle body up and the top of the pedal. Also do the throttle cable where it dissaperas inside its casing beside the throttle body.
I had a look last night and it appears to be one of two things. The first thing I noticed was that the spring above the pedal was very very strong. The only other thing I noticed was the rod on the back of the accelerator pedal that goes into the floor, also seemed stiff and a little weathered!! WD40 helped a little but only as a temp measure. I'll try some grease today and let you know how I get on.M5pilot wrote:Grease the throttle body up and the top of the pedal. Check the earth lead from engine to chassis, if its duff you may have fried your throttle cable..........no i'm not joking.
