Dan, I have one en-route for testing/tweaking, as/if required , assuming all is as it should be, I'll be hopefully representing them in the future as UK disty.

Common Ant honest answer bang for buck MAF conversion or MS?

Seeing as you may very well soon do both, let us have your honest opinion once tested. Be interested in a value for money opinion on both.

Test mine if you like Ant - fitted a few weeks ago and working fine so far; I'm reasonably near your base - let me know!

Most people don't want to use mega squirt just to gain a few extra Horsepower. Mega squirt is for full blown Forced induction systems. And The time it takes to drop in a chip or a MAF is like nothing compared to the lengthy process of mega squirt. Its more of an inconvenience for those who just want a little more RIGHT NOW. Why waste your time?

Once I have a unit to test , I may well have an opinion, until then........ :D

I have experience of MAF conversions using a Dastek Unichip, but that would draw unfair comparison at this stage.

Kind of you to offer but I'm stretched with other commitments as it is.

Anyone: thoughts on use with early Moronic (ie pre-facelift; 073 ecu)? Possible / do Miller do it / would I need to swap to a 173 setup?

E-mail the main man there, Dan Miller and ask. They do ask for your ECU code so it's possible they might!

Oh well, not so bad; just think of the potential fuel savings - you should find it quite a bit more economical in normal driving! :)

The basic kit is plug & play; you just specify your engine/ECU code, required rev limit (standard is 6,500rpm but you can get 7,000rpm if you prefer) and fuel rating (e.g. 95 RON) and Miller program a chip to suit.

Alternatively, there is a Tuner's kit available if you want to tweak the setup yourself: http://www.millerperformancecars.com/m20tunerskit.html

Well, I guess if they're sensible they're geared up for the more common ECU types with plenty of stock available for immediate despatch.

just a pic of the maf fitted ,,,used maurices instructions and had to cut down an old air-box to use as bracket as they don't come with any other holes for mounting other than the 4 in the front...next step put the chip in

Good going Dave, looks sweet (I particularly like the novel bracket!)

Sadly, someone bought my Miller'd up 325i this weekend - the cheek of it
