Hi brento I recently bought an alarm with remote start

aswell but haven't got round to fitting it yet. A good place for wiring diagrams is the Bentley manual or if you give me your email addy I can send you all the diagrams from my ETM (electronic troublshooting manual) if you've got Acrobat reader as it's a PDF file

brento mail sent mate

let me know if you receive it OK, it's a zipped file but still quite large at 13.8MB
Brian also sending you the file aswell, I've got the full ETM covering every year and every model so if you need a different year let me know and I'll mail it
It's nice to be able to give something back to the zone so if anyone else needs any diagrams for their motors let me know

I've never needed to send any files by email before so am I doing something wrong, my msn won't send it and AOL have a limit of 16MB but it gets returned saying the persons mailbox dosen't have the capacity or is full.

Starting to frustrate me now.

Use winrar (
www.rarlabs.com)
Much better than winzip, once you have installed it, right click on the file you want to 'zip' and select add to archive. In the dialogue box that appears, in the bottom left there is a 'Split to volumes, bytes' label with a drop-down, just select whatever size you want (1048576 is 1MB, as its in bytes), it will then create files called blah.rar, blah.r00, blah.r01 etc for as many as it needs. Then you can email them all seperately and the people can recreate them at the other end. If you want I can do pics of this too if you want.

M3power what car do you want the diagrams for as the complete ETM is 680MB which I think will be to large to send

E30mark I have 1991 318i/is/ic unsure about the engine, I'll mail you the file anyway
Just found a brilliant website called
www.yousendit.com so now I can email upto 1GB (apparently, does take a while to upload) The person receiving the file gets a link to the site, you then just click download
