E30 Pioneer Radio removal

Hello - can someone please tell me the correct too to remove a period ( 1990) Pioneer stereo from an E30 - which tools do I need and where can I purchse them?

Hi no local lads hanging about,they will have it out in seconds probably.(sorry could not resist) 
is there not 2 holes either end of face to put in u shaped pins that you push in which in turn releases radio.you could cut a metal coat hanger to shape but it might be to thick.if not ask your local radio installer to do it for you.

IIRC you will need Pioneer specific tools. Take the car to your local car audio shop, or possibly even Halfords, and expect to shell out a few quid for a favour.

Tigerbill, you removing the Pioneer head to repair or replace?

Hello - thanks - I am removing the head unit to fit the CD Multichanger plug.
