£500 you think?
Anyone else have any suggestions on price?
Any other comment/suggestions are greatly appreciated!
How much do you think front arches would cost to repair/replace?
Does anyone recognise the car?

looks ok to me. you could replace the wings easy. if the back arches are rusty its a pain in the arse tho. thats a tech2 spoiler like i have on mine. how many miles has it done? service history? i recon theyll be a fair bit of rust lurking in there

I agree with th oakey on the rust, if the front wing have gone, then the rear are gonna be bad, going off rhe state of the car, the towbar is sign of a hard worked diff, so check.

BUT take a chance if you can get it a good price, £500 ish...

but lift up all the carpets on check for water.

Yeah, i agree with all your points.
Especially the tow bar, signs of a hard worked engine and diff.
But, the guy says it had an engine rebuild two years ago, whether that's a good thing i'm not quite sure.
He's emailing me all of the details tomorrow regarding mileage, spec etc.

But it doesn't look too bad if i can get it cheap, and spend time restoring it.
What do you think?
If i go and take a look and everything seems ok, take a gamble?
It'll come with a new MOT.

If he's got receipts to back up the rebuild then you'll know that's fairly sound.
An M20 is easily obtained and swapped so I'd really be interested in the bodywork, if you go to view it please look over it very thoroughly.

if it comes with a brand new mot thats a v good thing as it wont pass with bad rust anywhere structural. looks in similar condition to mine when i bought it, but mine had no visible rust on the front arches. id take a gamble if you want something to restore. if youre gonna do the bodywork yoursef it wont cost you that much to get it looking nice.

I'll hopefully find out more tomorrow.
Maybe go and see it at the weekend.
If i can get it cheap and the rust isn't too bad, then i'll probably take a gamble.
I look forward to the challenge of making it look as mint as some of the cars on here.

What colour do you think it is? It's hard to tell fromthe pics. The pics aren't the best quality to be honest.

Dont buy a cr*p car and spend 5k making it a minter, which will never be perfect.

Buy a 2k example in the first place, something with a sound body that you can work on.

That tech 1 looks tired to be honest, and if the front acrches have gone, i dread whats under the kit and under the car  .

I agree, but i don't think it looks that bad, i just think the pics are a bit crap, so make the car look tired, like you say.
It's always hard to tell from pics.
I'll have a look and see it in the flesh, and then make a decision.

Is it dolphin grey?

Yeah, that one looks nice, i've seen that before.
To be honest, i think the photos are crap, the light is bad, it's raining, and the alloys are crap, the tow bar makes it look crap, and it needs a good clean.

Ah well, we'll see at the weekend!
But obviously i'm not going to buy it if it's covered in rust when i get there.

I'm using my home pc, not got trouble viewing any others.
I'm still trying to get all the info about the 325i sport from the seller, he certainly doesn't seem in a rush to sell.
Yeah, that'd be cool if you could send me them, to feed my fascination with the Tech1.
Can you PM them to me, or not?

The guy's sold it for £900, which is more than i think it was worth.
Ah well, i'll continue to look for either a Tech 1 or a Tech 2.
Where did you find one in that condition for £350??
