(I am sorry to let this be my first post, but I really need some assistance on this. If it is ok with you I'll do the 'Hi, my name is'-post later. :)

I consider moving my fuel swirl pot from the trunk to the engine bay due to racing regulations. However, I am concerned about rising fuel temperatures. Even though the swirl pot is continually topped up with cool fuel, the return from the engine will end in the swirl pot rather than in the tank, which prevents circulation to the tank. Surely this means the fuel in the swirl pot will get quite hot?

Do you think this will lead to any problems such as increased risk of fuel catching fire or engine performance loss (due to increased intake temp)?

The swirl pot has a capacity of about 2 litres.

Thanks
Taffy

Bad idea, what do you not have a bulkhead or something, much easier to refit some CF sheet than move it all if that is the case
please contact admin with regard to sig

Why not stick it in the spare wheel well and seal that with a metal plate??
