Guys, for anyone with the know how, i have a pioneer in dash motorized moniter and want to put some monitors in the headrests.... my question is, is it just a matter of buying the monitors and plug them up to my pioneer, or are there more bits n bobs required?? advice pls

they will just plug into the video out rca connecor and be fed an ignition live and earth, poss need to switch on the rear video out on the unit tho

cool, cheers my man... got a bit confused as ive seen a few monitors for sale that come with these big square box's too, but you def say the monitors with correct wires to power them up is ok???

depends if you get a kit which should have an av splitter box which basically splits the video signal from the stereo to both screens

if you dont get the box you only need a set of rca splitter leads

excellent... i really appreciate your help mate... just seen 2 on ebay 7", brand new for £75, i think i will buy them now youve answered my questions,, cheers my man... just 1 more for ya, do i need a power invertor as ive seen loads advertised with this, or will my head unit just power them up?

any screen made for the car should be 12v so ignition live will be fine

i done a lexus for a friend last week and we charged £120 for the lot bearing in mind its usually £80 per screen just to fit in the headrest. it would take the best part of a day to do properly too

got 1 done today mate, both monitor frames were beige, so i decided to spray them black before fitting, the spray melted the buttons on 1 of monitors. :cry: .. but still not bad, managed to cut leather and take out foam from 1 headrest and made it fit perfectly... starting the other 1 now.. pics to follow
