Can anyone reccomend a good oil for my 316i M40 engine? It was very quiet,no rattles from the top end, untill i changed the oil a couple of weeks ago.Started off sounding ok,but has gradually got worse, and now sounds like a diesel.I used Magnetec 15/40 thinking this would be ok but...
Surely cant be camshaft/bearing wear as this would be more gradual, possible hydraulic lifters?Any advice would be great, cheers guys

Try here http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... opic&t=156 for oil recommendations.

I ordered my oil from Guy on a wednesday afternoon, it was on my doorstep first thing thursday morning :D

Very good oil and great service.
