Which is breather hose?

Got some gunk on the inside of the oil cap, car is new to me (318i 1990)and i know the last owner has only done short runs about 4,000 miles a year, i have read that condensation and blocked breather hoses can cause this, i also know it could be the head gasket .

Q. which hoses are the breather hoses i need to check.

right the breather hose...
on the drivers side of the engine, look at the rocker cover at the top row of bolts, there should be a hose on the left under the inlet manifold that goes to the rocker cover, though this is for an m20 so i dunno if its the same on the m40

Can not see it, m40 must be different.

sry i couldnt be of any help mate, thanks about the abs, i dont think it is the abs light, as theres no text in the light
