RENT A DRIVE

Due to my utter stupidity of deciding to get married this year, this has bought some financial issues into my racing- ie I have no money!!

So for 2007 I have decided to rent my car out for some races to hopefully allow me to do a few myself

The car has been prepped by Dave Kear @ M-Tech to a very high standard to the below spec:

Custom Cages, full weld in cage, with bars going to both front and rear suspension turrets- this is a very safe and stiff car

Suspension, GAZ coilovers on all corners, professionall setup and corner wieghted

Safety, the car has an eared HANS friendly seat, 6 point salbet harnesses and a lifeline fire extinguisher, plumbed to cabin and engine

Engine, the car will have a new engine in it for the start of the season which has had over £4k spent on it, I also plan to bring a spare newly built engine along to double headers

Gerbox, has been stripped an rebuilt

The car has had a number of new body panel including sunroof less roof fitted this winter and a nice fresh coat of paint- so you'll look the part

I will bring the car to each race, there will be a team of professionals on hand through the weekend so you can rest easy that if theres a problem it will be fixed.

The car has had a rough 2006 which has meant ALOT of development work and rebuilds but the car is now without a doubt capable of winning races (just not with me driving) and is definately one of the best prepped out there.

The deal is you break it you fix it, or you can supply your own insurance, you will be asked to sign a contract agreeing this. All repairs will be carried out by Dave Kear @ MTech to the same standard as when the car was hired out- ie not full of filler.

The price for a day is £350 (there will be a small supplement if multiple races on the day) which is buy far the cheapest you will find, you will be expected to pay extra for fuel or supply your own, and transport will be charged per mile (if i'm not driving at the same meet).

For anyone thats interested please email me on jimmy@e30motorsport.co.uk

3 PBMW meets have provisionally been booked already so get in there quick!!

I am also happy to rent for trackdays if anyones interested in that

Oh my god! I'd love to do one for sure.

Are there any dates provisional or otherwise?

I have a national B licence, is this all I'll need?

No doubt a stupid question, but is there nothing until April? I'm really sorry! I don't know what I'm up to this year, I'd love to do one of these, but don't know whether I'll be around this year! :? :)

If you could put my name on it for now, that would be fantastic. As soon as I know if I'll be around, I'll pay at least a deposit.

Please let me know as soon as you want a deposit.

If I can do this, I will be so chuffed. :)

An excellent opportunity for people :D

Jimmy I assume there is a maximum value on the vehicle, that's usual with this sort of thing. The biggest bill you can get if you total the car is £xxxx

Good luck with selling the seat

Ooh bloody hell, that's a scary thought. But you did mention insurance, would you be able to get a price for that? No rush, obviously! :)

£350 is a very good price, I'd be tempted if I thought I'd have the time to book a weekend. Good luck filling the slots.

On a semi-related note, can anyone tell me how long my Nat B lasts if I don't use it?

Could well be up for a dose of this, sounds a lot bloody cheaper than rallying. I've done quite a few rallies at pembrey but i've never done a race,i've held a comp licence for twenty years but only for rallies, does this mean i'd have to do an Ards course? Also does this thing come with tyres.
