just looking at were the pipe from my cam cover will need to go on the super charer set up .(running, filter>TB>SC>IC>manifold>engine) i take it it should have just atmospheric pressure?? can i use a mini K&N breather??
also what do i do about the Idal control valve?? does this just go after the TB and before the charger (thais space maybe in a small vacum at idal)??
any help from you guy would be usefull. presume its the same problem on a turbo build?
cheers, matt
pipeing it all up

hopefully around 7psi but it is rated up to 10PSI
7PSI semes to make around 200bhp on standard ECU or thats what downing atlanta get running a bit bigger charger on the Z3 m44.
how would a plum in a catch tank fot the cam cover breather??

I just put a filter on the pipe, although it's beginning to make a mess now with oil slowly dribbling down the head and block underneath it.
I regret not making provision for an IACV to be honest, I don't like my engine running at 450ish rpm when it's cold, can't do it much good!

MS air temp sender will need to go after the intercooling, not before the SC.
You could keep the AICV as a bypass on the throttle body (as it is now?) if your managment system will drive it.
Catch tank can be arranged to drain back to the sump if you can be bothered getting a return point welded in or just emptied occasionally, it shouldn't get a lot of oil in it anyway.
There are some small advntages to running the crankcase at reduced pressure, you could maybe arrange something like the brake servo has with a check valve? You could do that in conjunction with a catch tank anyway as most have breather ports.
jk
