not Burger Kings but the others, PCW alpina replicas:

close up pic for ya.

a lot of people on the zone seem to berate the BK171's for some reason, i personally never had experience with them so cant comment!

large or small fries sir?

problems associated with alpina reps generally surround wheel wobble, often due to crap spigott rings being supplied so the wheel does not sit true on the hub

this is a comparison between the BK's and the 16" (AP or someone iirc) reps

the 16's are a direct copy of a 7J16 E30 alpina rather than a ill-suited 17" E36 alpina.
incidentally, the 17's ruin the handling but the 16's improve it no end are imo better than 15" BBS's

I'm not sure about that fella but the PCW's have a slight sparkle on the rims which does look very nice indeed

BK's are pure shite. A mate had some on his and it drove like a tank. Theyre over weight, they stick out of the arches and are generally just cheap crap.
An E30 drives better on steelies.
Ive got the same wheels as Gareth, I heard they are so close to the Alpina's because they are made by the same company?

Bk's are meant to be atonger on bumps and dont tend to buckle or crack as easily

that's probably due to having 10 x more metal in them.
i've heard they also make good boat anchors!

Yes yes totally agree, 8J rear are a dream. I think 16's are just right.gareth wrote:

I have had so many after market wheels on sooo many cars in the years ive been driving and the conclusion ive decided on is if there not supplied by the maker of the car your driving be very careful in your choice. There are some good after market wheels and there are some GREAT ones but there are also some of the moodiest sh*te i have ever used.
Originals are always best, thats why there copied.

18" BKs 18 x 8J with 215/35/18 tyres.
No rubbing or wheel wobble issue at all, they ride real smooth.
They don't stick out from the arches, just run nice and close like the E46 sports do.
Andy.

afaik the 16" ones are the original square-er (E28 / E30) alpina style and the 17's (BK etc) are the later more rounded (E36)
