I'm working on a kit to fit these on my E30
They are a Brembo 4 pot calliper with a 300mm disc, only problem at the moment is the bloody track rod end but I'm working on the discs
Just wondered if anyone would be interested in a kit once I've sorted them
Kit includes
2x callipers and pads
2x discs
2x mounting brackets
2x braided hoses.

Me. I guess how many peeps take you up will depend on how much you do the kit for. I'm running 18's at the moment and my current Zimmerman set-up is way too small. They look tiny when you look at them through the wheels, so i'll defo be up for anything that fills out my wheels better

What sort of price will they be?
And will they fit behind the BBS 15" wheels or do you need 16"?

Ben your car would look strange if the callipers were not matching
I just dont like things that attract attention to the car.

Initial costing is about Ԛ£400 - Ԛ£450 but this is all working on basic prices at the mo, I really don't no if i can get them behind 15' bbs's purely because of the size of the calliper, If you are running bigger wheels then the size of the disc can be increased. At the moment my only niggle is the track rod end position but i'm close to a remedy with my disc man, will keep you posted once the kits are sorted, was just gauging interest to see if its worth continuing development

Like i said if the price is right i will buy into this!
But i would like to know about getting replacement parts, Are these custom made? if so how would one go about getting new disks a year down the line? Also braided hoses are they a must? Can we use the stock pipes?

are the calipers bigger as in the stick out more towards the wheels? As my Alpina's there's a gap of about 5mm if that between the spokes and the caliper it fits tight as it is!!
260mm discs with standard caliper sizes will not fit a 15inch rim, so i'm guessing your wheels will have to be 16inch and above

300mm is a rude boy brake size

Surely with something that meaty youd have to examine the stopping power of the rears too?

why? the rears do didley squit anyway! vented rears off a 325ix is an option, but they are no bigger than the solids

Thats what im saying! Wouldnt huge stoppers on the front and weak @$$ ones on the rear unbalance the braking, even if most of the brakin is done by the fronts anyway...

The rears are meant to apply 40% of total stoping power.
260mm with stock callipers is an idea. I may just do that instead.
Wil is correct about ballance, but Ian, says he doesnt have any problems.

I might be interested, depending on the final cost. I am in Australia, but if you can't post them here I know people in the UK that could send them to me.
Is there any chance of posting the weight of these and the originals (to give me an idea of the unsprung weight increase)? I would also be interested to know how they work when you get them finished, do they lock up easily?

i know you can get 288mm discs and calipers behind 15" rims on a Vaux... with a bit of room to spare..
