my mate has got his dash out and the hole loom behind it.
is this a hard job to put it back and has anyone had to do this before
is anyone willing to sort this out for him if he pays cash as long as its not going to cost to much

There are two looms behind the dash. One plugs into the big white socket behind the glove box and is easy to change. (Should have come off with the dash).
The other loom is part of the main car body loom which starts at the front right of the car, goes all the way back the left hand side and all the way across the back of the car, with a few branches right across the car in between, as well as incorporating the fuse box. Or in short - not easy to change.

By definition , to change something, you have to have something in the first place to change it with!iil325i wrote:there is no wiring in the car at all
Think you'd better start this tale at the beginning.

It'll help if you start with the right looms.
Lay the main loom out on the ground, with the main run on one side, and all the cross branches laid out to the right, to get an idea of what goes where.
Feed everything that goes from the bulkhead backwards into the cabin through the hole under the brake servo, and start by fitting the fusebox and the bulkhead grommet.

I'll wager a tenner this doesn't ever run again lol
If you were a little closer i would offer to do it for you for a fee but unless he can get the car here and has a healthy bank balance it may be cheaper to buy another car

It was a tongue-in-cheek remark mate but unless someone who knows what they are doing sorts it which won't be cheap then like i said it may be cheaper to break the car and buy another.Billy_Blue wrote:why will it never get running again spadge? is there problems between the looms? im sure he'll pay you for your services. How much would you want to go to him ?
Time is a problem with me and if i was going to take it on i would want it here where my tools and kettle are
