hi iv found this e30 318is for sale an was lookin at it outta interest when i realised that the inlet is different to mine 318is any no why pls

it doesn't look like an M42 if you ask me

I saw that too,doesn't look like the inlet on mine. Nice car though.

Ask the seller for some more pics of the engine bay, that engine looks more like my M40.
Ask him what it says on the log book. Anyone can put is stickers on the back.
Interior looks right for an is though

that looks like an M44 1.9 out of a late E36 318iS to me

Its deffo not a M44 its a late M42 lump.

Definately an M42 from an e36.
