does anyone have the black plastic bit that sits between the rear lights and where the number plate sits on for a cab.

i was following a coupe face lift and it had it so i was wondering if they did this for a cab because for some reason i dont have it.

if you dont know what i am on about its in the picture below but unfortanatly its off a coupe.

Guys i called BMW Stephen James in Enfield and gave them the last digits of my VIN number and they reckon i have the face lift because it was first registered in December 1990, and apparantly they were face lifted from 87 onwards.

The saloon was facelifted in 87, the convertibles were facelifted later.
You've probably got one of the earlier facelift cabs for Dec 90. H reg seems to be the changeover iirc, I've seen H on pre and post facelift

BTW, anyone know for sure that a Touring surround will fit? Got a feeling the Touring ones are different. I believe they're slightly different to give a handle to shut the tailgate with. Haven't got a saloon to compare my Touring with...
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring
