m3 lsd is only a few quid more second hand than a normal lsd.

where do people get the idea that ALL m3 bits command STUPID money from? sure dealer bits can be expensive, but the difference is a lot less at second hand levels

Could just be that the magazine tested the two cars at different times, with different drivers, on different track surfaces and in different conditions.

Or that the 325i that BMW gave to the press to test wasn't exactly a standard 'production' version!

Skoda were suspected of tweaking up the boost a little when magazines were testing their Octavia VRS turbo to get some more impressive figures! :nono:

"The E30 owner gulped hard, this was the moment of truth. Months of work, modding with chips, exhausts, displacement enlargement, throttle bodies and so much more; even Turbos were considered but scrapped as Forced Induction just wasnt BMW. Lined up next to him was a Subaru Impreza WRX; they were on the strip at the Pod.
Suddenly the lights turned green and they were off, the howl of the 6 pot was nothing compared to the shove it gave. Faster and faster the E30 gathered speed, for an M20 this was startling pace.

The cars smashed past the finish line, the E30 infront!! And the big bright sign posted 14.00 dead!!!

"WOW!" said the E30 pilot!! "This is unbelievable!!!" As he did some victory doughnuts.

"Oh...." said the E30 owner as he woke up with his hands in his pants."

Did any of you guys consider that by changing the diff ratio improves the cars 0-60 time vastly?

my M50 B25 E30 with a 3.91 diff from a 316 does a best time of 5.8sec.
And thats with some mapping, and a good wheight strip..
