Can the cooler from the above be separated from the radiator,its from a m535i if that helps at all.

M535i has a separate oil cooler and rad doesnt it? :?

Unless you mean the auto version which has the rad with transmission oil cooler. If its anything like my M20 auto rad, I dont think they can be separated.

If you dont want the oil cooler just get a manual rad core fitted or just block the pipe holes off.

can the auto rad oil-cooler part be used to cool the engine oil in a manual car so as to get rid of the oil cooler?

I only did to make it look tidy. I got the rad new and it had rubber caps over the inlets, so I just fixed them in place.

Not sure about using it for the engine oil cooling, not sure what air flow its gets and how effective it would be.
