how do all,
as i have to modify my headlights in order to road rally next year, i thought i'd stick a pair of H4 bulbs in the outer headlights (or buy new bowls a little bigger if poss), and take the inners out totally, whilst i was there i thought i'd spray my spare grille black and sticck this on too, whats everyones thoughts? any further ideas? what could i duct the new holes to?

ugly but effective!!! personally i would seal the holes as they will get loads of water into the engine bay and result in electrical problems or worse water into the air filter and possibly further.
out of interest why did you remove the inner bulbs, would have thought leaving them in and aim them as far out as possible to get more light to the side of the road would be better, the big spot lights will take care of lightiing wahtever is straight ahead.
Or put another set of driving lights in there.

i'm only allowed one set of beams plus spotlights on a rally so hence why i've put H4 bulbs in the outer to be dipped and main beam and just taken out the inners, i could just tape them up but i'd like to do something distinctive so people will recognise the car on an event anyway, i may spray the inside of the wheels black too (i've got two sets of 14's wich i rally on my other 15's are for monkeying round with and killing.

If you want it to be distinctive why not make up some blanking plates for the inner lamp holes which look like BMW roundels?

I might be wrong here, but a 'whip' is rudeboy terminology for a car.
Good to see another e30 getting driven hard!

I think its a compliment, I have a feeling E30BM is from the west coast of LA and not East London

PMSL thats a compliment
And why should you hope the car was rotten before he started, better than all this show and shine 5hite we always see, if I wanted that I'd go to a car showroom. His can is getting used PROPERLY like it should!!
