i am breaking my 320i and want to remove the steering wheel, i have removed the badge and the big nut but it is stil stuck on. It will lift about 5mm but then gets stuck solid. Am i not doing something simple?
any help appreciated

yep...stick the key in the ignition and turn to release the steering lock!

I found this out at the scrappy... couldn't get the wheel off. Came off in the end though, but the steering lock was then shagged!
Put the key in and take the steering lock off... you'll kick yourself for not doing it in the beginning!

i managed to pull one of at scrappy once from car that had no key, i put a bar thro the wheel and after about 5mins of wrestling it came off, it put up a good fight though.

Then recomposed myself,now I have a straight steering wheel

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
