Thats weird ,its working on both my home and work puters Spadge.Anyway its from an 1985 e28 528i with 106k miles. The link is supposed to take you to realoem but what i dont undestand is the sender knows its a 260 Getrag
but does,nt know if its a/6 or /5 .The thing is the link shows if they are /5 or /6. Which is really confusing me.and yes i know thats not hard :)

It will fit but I'm not sure about the flywheel. An E34 has a dual mass flywheel and an E28 doesn't - if you have the E28 flywheel, clutch and starter than you are indeed larfing!

I have an E28 535i clutch here. Only done 1200 miles.

I'm not sure the E32/E34 flywheel and clutch is compatible with a 528i gearbox - there might be flywheel/clutch clearance issues and the release bearing and fork might not work properly. Really you need the manual box from that 730i because BMW list a different clutch, different gearbox casing and different clutch release bearing guide tube.

No mate , i mean ive got the lot from the 730i, clutch gearbox diff and starter motor and flywheel also have the 535i flywheel and starter motor.Which luckily for me happen to be the same on both models :D

Fairy Nuff! Why the 730i diff? It's a big old thing and won't fit an E30. 3.64 ratio open unit.
