Very fine car.
Most impressive.
Smoked fronts?.
Out of interest mate, how much have you spent on the beauty?. In terms of cash and time.
Cheers Gareth.

get that engine bay wiring sorted !!!!
Looks good sandy (appart from wiring !) love the wheels.
After seeing those on there im despirately trying to source 5 stud stuff !!
Are they the e39 wheels ? and what size tyres you running on ? I think i'd maybe go for another set of fronts on the back to stop the rubbing.

They are RC035's and 038's which I think are from an E34. They are 17x8 and 17x9.
I have another set that needs polishing which are RC090's from an E39, they are 8" all round but the centre hole is apparently larger so would need spigot rings.

Yeah i've heard the centre bore is slightly bigger but there's definately spigot rings available for them,i've seen them about.
Keep me in mind if you sell on those ones you got on there
What size tyre is on the back ? I think it needs 1drop down in profile and it may fit with out rubbing.

The best touring on the site in my opinion, style and speed. Loving every aspect of it, a true beauty. Awesome colour too.
Great effort making it what it is today

I've bought an E34 540i so It will be getting one of the sets buster.
They're 235 x 40's. I think the next set I'll get will be either 225s or 215s. Most of the rubbing is related to the (m3) soft suspension. I plan to get uprated touring stuff to stiffen it up a bit.
Is your ECU under the drivers side dash?

nope,it wont fit in that wiring cover with it going over that way so i had to put it over to the passenger side instead.
It lives in the glove box now :

As you can see i made a barrier sort of cornered it off so that anything put in there cant jam up on the ecu.
I tried 235x40x17's tyres on the back before and they rubbed badly up in the arch, not on the lip.If a 235x35 existed i think it would be ok.

That is a seriously awesome Touring - hats off.
Especially like the wau that it looks factory, you could have gone mental but kept it tasteful.
Did you have to put 5 stud hubs on there?

That is fanfarkintastic!
It's a touring masterpiece. I'm sure it goes just as well as it looks.
Tempting me to get rid of the headlamp washwipes off my touring.
Don't friggin leave it anywhere where someone might take a fancy to it and nick it. That badge on the back might attract wrong sort of attention. Good job you're a long way from Glasgow eh? In certain parts of Saaarf Lundurn, where I used to live, that would go missing if you parked it half an hour.
