hello :?

is was wondering,i guess you guys have the same harness over there as here in norway.
i have 2 wires, one yellow and 1 black, does anyone here know if the black is input to dme or yellow....????

after my knowledge it is black thats input...

was installing a air/fuel ratio intrument...so when i measure i cant get more than 0.160v.so i guess my O2 senor is gone with the wind?...

i did it :D i found the shit i needed...

for those who replaces the OEM O2 sensor with universal...

here is the "in-car" wires:

black - sensor + input to dme
yellow - sensor - input to dme
brown - ground to heater
green/blue..or is it purple? ;) - positive to heater

i guess all sensors have 2 white wires, not polarity sensitive...so the most imortant one's are the black sensor & yellow sensor wire's...

correct me if im wrong, but it should be 100%!!!! 8)

just out of interest, what symptoms does your car have if the O2 sensor is knackered?

thats my problem too.... :/ rough idle, and i have checked so many things.
wondering to buy a new O2 sensor today, why?well, because the sensor i bought a while back is universal...and have been trying different wires and shit,so i guess its dead.

and i just get 0.160volts :/

my idle problem is very odd, when you lightly increase the revs from tickover, the engine nearly stalls. It sounds like an air leak but i have checked all that so maybe its a sensor?

could the o2 sensor cause this? :?

that would be great, I was also thinking the air flow meter might need adjusting but do not know if this is possible?

My engine is also really "tappety", i heard this was normal but suppose i had better check it at the weekend!!

ahh the old off idle stumble rears its ugly head

Throttle position switch is more often than not the cause of this dudes, remove the TB, turn her over and remove the TPS, flush it out with contact/carb cleaner and refit, the tricky bit is setting it so its closed @ idle and opens immediatly you open the throttle butterfly.

sounds like hard work ?, its not, 10mm nuts X4 , 2 x phillips screws and some hoseing to remove, you can either use a conti tester to verify its working or theres an audible click when you open the throttle, do this by hand. engine off obv.

good luck with your DIYing
