The drains for the sunroof run down the 'A' pillars + the 'C' pillars , they do suffer from getting clogged up and are a pain to sort with out getting soaked. Fire a water jet down them when the sunroof is open or have a little poke around with a strong piece of hanger wire. They normally get blocked at the top (roof section) with old leafs and general road dirt.

85mm diameter round metal plates in the floorpan, directly under each front seat base. They are held in place by three metal lugs and twist into place.
The lugs rust off, the plate comes loose, and water gets in.

Also blocked sill drain holes, blocked mine up once after re undersealing and the sills filled with water and overflowed into the footwells.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
Check the rear plastic covers at the side you get the water in. Pull it paying attention not to brake the top chrome plate. There are 4 or 5 plastic clips that fail with time and rain water gets in. Either new ones or some sanitary silicone seal will sort it out.
